Hooray are proud to be supporting a leading independent educational establishment in the recruitment for a Pastoral Assistant to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Pastoral Assistant, you will:

  • Ensure all boarding and recreational areas are correctly used and report if any Health and Safety concerns.

  • Make sure that the house has a welcoming and homely feel for all students.
  • Participate in a range of events for visitors and prospective parents/ students to view the house and its environment.

  • Supervise and assist students to ensure they are wearing the correct uniform and out on time for any lessons or extra curriculum each day.

  • Take time to listen to students in need and provide support and assistance when needed. (This may include taking appropriate actions if necessary.)

To be successful as a Pastoral Assistant, you will:

  • Describe yourself as an empathetic individual with the ability to provide emotional support and pastoral care to a range of different individuals.

  • Have the ability to provide a motherly support to ensure all students feel at home and supported throughout their time during term time.

  • Be an organised individual with clear accuracy skills and a good attention to detail.

  • Have prior experience supporting individuals aged 14 to 18 within an education/ community environment.

In return, my client is offering an annual salary of up to £22,800 FTE. Please note, this is a part-time role working term time only on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and 26 Saturdays for the year.
