Lichfield – £22,000 – £25,000Office BasedProperty Legal Secretary I’m delighted to be working with a leading Lichfield firm, who have been a client of ours for many years and who are currently going through a fantastic period of growth an expansion. As a result, they are keen to add a Property Legal Secretary to their team in Lichfield. Ideally, they would like to recruit a Legal Secretary with experience of working for partners and fee earners in a Property department.Based in modern, well-equipped offices, close to local commuter links and with onsite parking, this role would suit an experienced Legal Secretary with experience in Property department able to commute to Lichfield.Duties and responsibilities of the Legal Secretary in Property:

  • Opening files, client verification, preparing engagement packs
  • Reviewing title registers
  • Liaising with clients
  • Drafting transfer documents/amending and drafting leases
  • Dealing with Land Registry registrations and requisitions
  • Drafting completion statements
  • Transfer formalities including Notices and Deeds of Covenant
  • Creating schedules for bulk lease extension
  • General secretarial support
  • Closing files and archiving
  • Downloading registrations from Land Registry, review and report to fee earners and clients
  • Assisting with managing lease extension projects
  • Registering UN1’s, ordering OS2’s on Land Registry
  • Raising invoices/ payment requests
  • Diary entries/ chasing matters etc
  • Drafting FTT applications & preparing bundles, setting up court hearings
  • Lodging UN1 applications at the Land Registry
  • Dealing with post completion matters/ registrations/ ledger queries/ sending documents to clients following registration/ dealing with ledger queries before archiving files/ archiving forms
  • Expediting matters at Land Registry
  • Drafting RXC and other RX forms and lodging at Land RegistryCorresponding with lenders/ drafting Deeds of Substituted SecurityDating and scanning documents following completion
