WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for a talented leader with experiendce of Software Propulsion integration. This is an opportunity to lead a team in the delivery of the propulsion software and calibration and to be able to clearly set out what increments are needed to achieve Domain goals for each quarter. the role operates in an agile environment providinig you with the opportunity to collaborate wiht Chapter Leads to identify and deploy the right resource to the squads working in the Group to deliver these.

You’ll be the one setting the direction for the rest of the department and lead on the delivery of propulsion softwre projects. In addition to relish the challenge of resolving issues and supporting escalation topics.

You’ll also get to influence the next generation EV propulsion offering within JLR and be at the heart of software development for vehicles which defines the character of the vehicle and effects our customer’s experience.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Take the lead role for the software integration of BEV/ ICE projects
  • Oversee project tracking and escalation using JLR Metrics (AIMS, RMDV, ITP, DV tracking – training will be provided for systems as required)
  • Collaborate and oversee the software supplier relationship along budget management
  • Driving common process across the team to manage the integration activity
  • Support Chapter Leads with people development actions and plans to ensure the Group can deliver effectively
  • Alignment with related groups across the JLR Engineering and wider organisation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • You’ll be able to influence and pursuade others to work collaboratively towards common goals
  • You’ll have expeirience of leading the delivery of calibration and controls projects
  • You’ll have excellent knowledge of propulsion systems

Ideally although not essentially, you’ll have the ability to build strong, valuable relationships at all levels of the business and you’ll have the ability to work under demanding programme and business constraints and be familiar with project management tools, including AGILE & JIRA
