Reportingdirectly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible forindividual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitiveassessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will alsofacilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested todesign and deliver training.

As a Psychologist, you will have experience andknowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, includingassessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialistpsychological treatments to support their careplans.

As a Psychologist you willbe:

• Participating in the assessment of referrals, andto provide initial assessment service users referred to theservice.
• Undertaking high quality direct (assessment &therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative)specialist psychological interventions and making autonomousclinical decisions.
• Workingtherapeutically with service users with complex presentations,undertake the assessments using a broad range of structuredpsychometric and semi structured clinicalmethods.
• Formulating and implementing plans of specialistpsychological treatment or management of patients’ mental healthneeds based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding andcurrent evidence based best practise.
• Being professionally and legally responsible andaccountable for all aspects of clinical work andcare.
• Maintaining high standards of care in all areas ofpractice and in accordance the HCPC Code ofConduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies andProcedures.

To be successful in this role,you’ll need:

Have BPS recognised psychologydegree Be HCPCregistered Have Chartered Psychologiststatus and appropriate post-graduatequalifications Be an approved supervisorwithin the guidelines of the BPS and relevantdivision Have understanding ofevidence-based psychological practice Haveexperience of applying psychological knowledge to aclinical/ psychiatric setting Beexperienced working with clients with cognitivedeficits Have previous experience ofconducting research and project working Where you will beworking:

Location : New Service – Castleholme Lodge, 4 Bryan Road,Edgerton, Huddersfield, HD2 2AH.

Castleholme Lodge will be a 20 bed Care Homewith nursing, providing safe and supportiveenvironment foradults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, who nolonger require hospital treatment and intervention, but requireongoing care within a mutli-disciplinary care homeservice.

Location: Three Valleys Hospital – 2 Burley Court Steeton,Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD20 6TU

Three Valleys Hospital provides a rehabilitation servicefor up to 34 adults with complex mental health issues. ThreeValleys has a separate 9 bed neuropsychiatric service whichsupports men who are living with a neuro-progressive disorder anddisplay behaviours that challenge.
