A rapidly growing and high achieving passive fire protection business specialising in fire doors and fire stopping is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to provide a leading role to support projects and programmes with commercial aspects. Along with a salary of up to £70,000 per annum, you will also receive a range of benefits including a bonus, 20 days annual leave plus 1 day off for your birthday and additional days with service. Based in Gillingham and operating across London and the South East of England, they are looking for someone to assist the commercial team, where necessary, to implement work winning strategy at procurement stage. As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Estimating Door & firestopping works
- Processing Valuations for projects
- Site visits
- Client liaison for project
- Assisting the team in accordance with delivery program
- Preparing Tender Documentation
- Cost control and administration
- Subcontractor management
- Budget Management
- Accuracy of forecasting
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has the following skills and experience:
- Holding or working toward a construction commercial qualification (such as Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management) preferred
- Working in a finance or commercial function within the engineering or construction sector
- Knowledge of finance systems
- Cost and budget administration
- Financial and commercial reporting
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft excel
