Then look no further .Quarry ManagerSalary – Circa £48,000 per annum (plus benefits)Hours – 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm (plus 1 Saturday morning per month (6 hours) on a rota basis)Postcode of depot – LS24 9BEAs a Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Jackdaw Crag Quarry in accordance with The Quarries Regulations 1999 and all FCC/DQL systems and procedures.This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week plus one Saturday morning per month as part of a rota. However, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).Our promise to you– 25 days’ annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life Insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On the job training/progression- Recognition- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors ServiceWhat will you be doing?– Operating the Quarry in accordance with the Health and Safety document- Ensuring management control and supervision of all activities on site- Liaising with the Operations Manager and the Health and Safety Representative on Health and Safety issues at the workplace- Working in accordance with Environmental Management System and promoting environmentally considerate work practices- Developing and promoting good communications and professional relationships between all levels of staff and employees on site- Undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations and our IMS system- Ensuring that key Health and Safety legislation (Quarries Regulations 1999), implemented throughout the site- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and industry developments- Undertaking work on projects set by the upper management team and delivering suitable outcomesWhat are we looking for?– Experience and knowledge of Fixed and Mobile Quarry Production Plant- Competency in IT programs such as Word, Excel, Power point- Good communication and problem-solving skills- To possess, or be working towards a QCF Level 4 (or above) in Mineral Extractives Management- To possess, or be willing to work towards a Shot firing Certificate and eventually undertake the Explosives Supervisor examinationsAbout UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies.
