Here at MTVH we are recruiting for a Repairs Officer to be based at our regional office in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. This role will require regular travel across Nottingham & Derbyshire to undertake inspections within your area.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following;

• Undertake site-based technical inspections to support the contractual & financial management of the repairs service and provide recommendations to residents, contractors and management.
• Day to day duties involve. carrying out pre and post inspections, raising and authorising works orders, liaising with contractors and internal departments
• Responsible for improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the repairs service.
• Working with partnering contractors, in house contractors, external agencies and other departments to ensure void and responsive repair works are delivered and maintained at agreed levels according to Metropolitan Thames Valley policies and contractual agreements.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experience of working with teams in dispersed geographical locations
• Ability to explain technical or complex information to a varied customer base
• Experience in delivering a quality repairs service in a partnership working environment
• Able to challenge and support commercial and contract management
• Able to build and sustain working relationships with key stakeholders
• Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues in other teams to improve service effectiveness
• A demonstrable track record of delivering service excellence to a customer base

We are offering a salary of £28,810 plus free onsite parking, fantastic benefits including a health cash plan, pension scheme and many more!

To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, once an offer of employment is made. As standard you will be added to the DBS updating service with a new check being carried out on a 3 yearly basis. The cost of a DBS will be paid for by the organisation.
