My client is an established infrastructure specialist within the civil engineering, energy, tunnelling and water sectors, and with the recent award of a long-term delivery programme are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive water infrastructure experience to strengthen their Commercial Team in Central London.

Working within the Integrated Delivery Team candidates will oversee the full compliance of governance procedures and provide support to both On-Site and Delivery Management Teams.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all aspects of commercial and cost management of a project or group of projects as designated by the Project Commercial Manager.
• Ensuring robust cost management processes are undertaken with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis on hand to assist in commercial decisions.
• Ensuring all Project Team members (including site staff) understand the contractual arrangements, to satisfy Client & Partner organisation requirements.
• Collaborating with the Delivery Team to identify, implement and monitor efficiency plans throughout the lifecycle of a project or programme of projects.
• Maintaining records and financial information (including final accounts) for audits and cost assurance.

Successful candidates will possess:

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
• Thorough working knowledge of civil engineering or water infrastructure/non-infrastructure sectors.
• Experience of managing costs on framework schemes.
• Knowledge of Construction Law and familiarity with ICE/NEC forms of contract.
• A good understanding of construction methodologies and practices.
• IT proficient with Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional customer service, communications, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycles, certificates, and accruals calculations.
• Ability of working to tight deadlines.
• CSCS Card.
• Member of RICS or working towards relevant professional body.
