Customs Insights, part of the Uniserve Group, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Shift Clerk to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

This is a key role within our 24/7 operation, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of customs clearance processes. You’ll lead a shift team in the supervisor’s absence, overseeing all tasks to guarantee compliance and accuracy.

Shift pattern 4 on 4 off. Hours – days 1 & 2 0700hr to 1900hr, days 2 & 3 1900hr to 0700hr

Your Responsibilities:

• Supervising a shift team and ensuring assigned tasks are completed efficiently and compliantly
• Completing daily customs clearance tasks yourself
• Assisting colleagues with customs paperwork
• Amending and corresponding with customs authorities
• Completing excise declarations
• Contributing to various operational duties as directed by management

You’ll be Successful if You Have:

• In-depth knowledge of customs procedures and principles
• Proficiency in customs clearance software
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills
• IT literacy
• A proven ability to meet tight deadlines
• A meticulous and detail-oriented approach
• Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
• The ability to identify and effectively report issues
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues

This is a full-time position requiring shift work to support our 24/7 operations. Compulsory overtime may be required.
