You will join our community of Solution Architects in DWP Digital. We are looking for motivated Solutions Architects to take on the challenge of solving complex problems that impact the most vulnerable citizens in society.

You’ll collaboratively design modern IT architectures which enables a complex and critical digital transformation. You’ll help us build better services for millions of users.

Designing World-Class Products

DWP’s Health & Disability Team manages several services and digital transformation projects which support some of DWP’s most vulnerable customers.

In this role you’ll work with engineering teams, and other Digital stakeholders, to create value for money solution designs. Often the context and environment will be unique to DWP – you’ll help us develop solutions that work for use, and deliver better service experience to our users.

You’ll provide expert architecture advice to our delivery teams, conduct Proof of Concepts and present at boards and forums.

You’ll also support the development of the DWP Architecture Practice, sharing your expertise and advocating for architecture best practice in DWP and across the profession.

Your Essential Skills:

• Architecture design, modelling techniques and patterns.
• Micro-service and event-based architecture design and patterns.
• Relational, NoSQL and Open-Source database design/modelling, technologies and patterns.
• Public cloud technologies and design patterns.
• Presenting to technical governance forums.
• Agile delivery methodology.

In return for your skills, we pay 52,412 – 70,000 per annum.
