Supplier Relationship Manager required for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a IT Vendor Management Lead to come on board to be tasked with harmonizing vendor performance objectives and relationship management activities with business and commercial goals and sourcing strategies. This role takes the lead in overseeing the performance of IT vendors, collaborating with other relevant disciplines (such as procurement, commercial, legal) to ensure the optimal performance of suppliers.

Key skills and responsibilities,

• Strong IT Vendor Management experience
• Take charge of vendor management, ensuring the alignment of vendor performance objectives and relationship management activities with business, commercial objectives, and sourcing strategies.
• Lead the management of vendors to achieve key performance indicators and agreed-upon targets.
• Proficiency in the application of IT frameworks and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial, partner, vendor, or supplier management, ensuring adherence to governance, quality, and compliance criteria.
• Background in navigating complex IT supplier ecosystems, particularly within the dynamic environment of a major infrastructure program with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven experience in collaborating and co-innovating with global IT vendors to enhance service delivery.
• Oversee the operational performance of external partners, collaborating with professionals in related disciplines (e.g., procurement specialists, contract managers, legal) as needed to ensure optimal supplier performance.
• Manage strategic relationships with vendors and address potential disputes or conflicts promptly.
• Lead benchmarking efforts and utilize vendor performance data to ensure thorough and regular performance monitoring.
• Drive the implementation of vendor service improvement actions and spearhead the identification of constraints and opportunities during contract negotiations or renewals.
• Collaborate with the corporate supply chain management team to apply organizational policies, standards, and guidelines.
