Blueprint Recruitment has a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated BREEAM/DREAM Sustainability Consultant to join a leading, multi-disciplinary Design consultancy on a permanent basis. This role will primarily support projects in the defence sector, but will also assist the BREEAM department on project across a wide range of our client’s sectors.

This is a brilliant opportunity offering largely remote working, with just 1 day a week office presence in either London or Warwick.

Our client

Specialising in complex infrastructure, process and built environments across the full project life-cycle, our client’s disciplines range from initial architecture to civil and structural, building services and CDM consultancy. The successful candidate will be involved in the project from conception through to post build and handover, learning about a build from start to finish in detail.

Key responsibilities:

• Proactively oversee the implementation of sustainability strategies post-planning
• Offer practical guidance on best sustainability practices and innovations to impact both internal and external project teams
• Formulate building certification strategies and conduct pre-assessments
• Coordinate the collection and review of evidence aligned with assessment submissions
• Formulate and assist in the execution of net-zero strategies for buildings
• Track projects and their progress in achieving sustainability objectives and targets
• Maintain active communication with clients and project teams
• Guiding clients through MOD sustainability and procedures, guiding through acting as environmental and sustainability expert
• BREEAM, DREAM assessments, sustainability appraisals and net zero strategies

Key requirements:

• Ideally, you are a BREEAM assessor who is eager to expand into defence and MOD approach, however our client would support someone who has supported on BREEAM assessments but is not BREEAM qualified
• A basic understanding of BREEAM is essential, but all training will be available for the right candidate
• Work experience in sustainability or built environment consultancy
• An MSc and/or BSc degree in Environmental Sciences/ Geography/Architecture/Engineering.
• Good understanding of the fundamental principles of sustainability
• Needs to be willing and able to obtain security clearance
