This tax disputes specialist law firm are well known for its expertise in complex domestic and cross-border tax disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and investigations. The team act for a wide range of domestic and international tax disputes, advising multinational corporations on various corporation tax disputes with HMRC, as well as represents entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses on sensitive or difficult tax disputes as well as high net worth individuals facing enquiries and criminal investigations. The firm have also built a strong reputation for their tax fraud/abuse and tax investigations work, as well as transfer pricing disputes.

The firm are now seeking an experienced tax litigation solicitor to join their highly regarded team in London. As part of the role you will be:

• Advising clients on tax disputes and investigations – including corporation tax, stamp taxes, VAT, employment tax, income tax and NICs
• Co-ordinate a team of associates and paralegals, working closely with our partners to prepare court cases for trial.
• Day to day management of a litigation case load, undertaking legal research and drafting notes and opinions, interviewing witnesses and preparing evidence, preparing applications.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have Strong academic qualifications from a highly regarded university, ideally with a First Class degree (or equivalent).
• Trained and qualified as a solicitor in the United Kingdom
• Have experience in tax litigation is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organisation skills, and attention to detail.
• Desire to be part of a forward-thinking, fast-paced and dynamic firm.
• Proactive with a hands-on attitude and an enthusiasm for engaging in a wide breadth of duties.
