You MUST have the following:
- Experience as a senior member of technical teams- escalation point for more junior team members; mentorship experience; reporting to management
- Ability to read C# code
- Scripting and querying in SQL
- Strong experience with trading applications
The following is DESIRABLE, not essential:
- Python Scripting for querying data
- Experience on the buy-side-hedge fund, asset management, investment management, wealth manager
- Experience with risk platforms
Role: Senior Technical Analyst (Technical Lead Development Engineering Application Support Engineer Systems Platform Production Operations C# Python Data SQL Buy Side Buy-Side Risk Hedge Fund Asset Manager Management Investment Mutual Investment Risk Derivatives Front Office Front Office Financial Services Finance Banking) required by our asset management client in London. You will join a department dedicated to investment risk- creating applications that aggregate the positions and therefore risk and exposure of the portfolios across the company. Within this department, there are 20 developers with 4 technical leads. You will be the senior member of a technical team of 4 who are responsible for the production side of the application. The 3 members are technical junior to mid-level developers. You will be come from a technical background and oversee and address incoming technical issues, collaborate with development team leads and the businesses to escalate and solve issues. You need to be able to query data in SQL. Python Scripting is desirable but not essential. You will also be able to read C#, although you will not be required to write any C# or do any coding. Any exposure to the front, middle or Back Office trading would also be advantageous.
The company have a hybrid working setup where you will be required to attend the office 2-3 days a week depending on the setup. Hours can be flexible to cater for morning and afternoon school-runs, as long as the work is done. Some of the work overlaps with the US so any flexibility to start late and end late would also be welcome.
Salary: £90k – 120k + 20% Bonus + 10% Pension
