Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Transport Co-ordinator in Ilkeston.Key Responsibilities:- Coordinating and managing the daily transport operations efficiently and effectively- Liaising with drivers and clients to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods- Allocating workloads effectively and monitoring driver performance- Planning and scheduling routes to ensure optimal delivery routes and maximum efficiency- Maintaining accurate records of all transportation activities, including driver logs and delivery records- Monitoring and managing vehicle maintenance, including inspections and repairs- Ensuring compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and policies- Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to drivers- Resolving any transportation-related issues or conflicts that may arise- Implementing and promoting health and safety measures within the transport departmentQualifications:- Proven experience in a similar role within the transport or logistics industry- Strong knowledge of transport operations and regulations- Excellent organizational and time-management skills- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines- Effective communication and interpersonal skills- Proficient in the use of transport management systems and computer software- A valid UK driving license (Desirable)Interested candidates are invited to apply through our website, workchain.co.uk.
