As the new Transport Planner you will be a part of a long-term business growth strategy with great opportunities for personal development.Key attributes:Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmentPrevious experience in a transport office is essentialExcellent IT skillsSomeone who can work well in a team but also individuallyGood communicatorFlexibility with regards to shiftsBe target driven and motivated to constantly hit targetsBe able to problem solve individually, be a swift reactor to issues and bring solutions to team planning issuesMain responsibilities:Planning and coordinating driver load movementsWorking closely within the planning team to fully utilise the fleetLiaise with drivers to ensure highest level of service is providedArranging deliveries and devising transport routes in the most cost-effective methodEnsure company guidelines, quality, Health & Safety, and service are maintainedEnsure housekeeping (empty legs, trailer number, solo movement) is kept at highest quality to enable efficient reporting of empty running compared to revenueIf you are an ambitious and proven Transport Planner, then this is the role or you!
