An exciting opportunity to join this Cambridgeshire-based employer of choice and provide leadership to their commercial contract management function. This role is available on a hybrid working basis with the need to be in the office just 2 days per week. This position will lead a small team of committed and experienced contract management professionals in providing commercial and contract management expertise and support across the organisation. This high-profile role will ensure that outsourced contracts are meeting delivery targets with outputs aligned to stakeholder expectations and needs with costs challenged and negotiated. Areas of focus will include: the provision of governance and oversight on contractual obligations and service levels; ensure service levels are maintained on a consistent basis with internal stakeholders; drive collaboration and engagement across the senior stakeholder population; provide leadership both internally and externally and acting as the escalation point; and to develop and lead a small team of Contract Managers. To succeed in this high-profile role, you will be able to demonstrate significant contract management experience with a robust understanding of the legalities of contracts and their interpretation. With strong relationship management skills, you will have experience of managing an outsourced provider with demonstrable experience of managing contractual performance processes and metrics. The ability to provide new ideas and help shape existing processes and services is required, aligned with strong analytical skills and exceptional communication skills. Leadership skills are required albeit they do not to be highly developed with further support and personal development available. With defined experience of working in a procurement capacity, part/full CIPS qualification is preferred but not essential.
