Summary
As the public face of Flatford, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Contract duration: Fixed term contract until 3rd November 2024 and will involve around 400 hours of work over this period.
Hours/working pattern: You’ll be working regular weekend days, as well as bank holidays and days in the week. The number of days worked per week will vary from 1 to 3, depending on the time of year and team commitments.
What it’s like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 6 Welcome and Service Assistants. You will also work with colleagues in the outdoor, retail and food and beverage departments as necessary. You’ll be working in the open air and be based in our Welcome Hut in the car park, but may work across the site as necessary. Flatford is a large site and so you can expect to work in other areas too, such as our overflow car park and Bridge Cottage.
Flatford is the destination for thousands of visitors each year, ranging from local dog walkers to international tourists. People are drawn to the beautiful scenery and the connections to the famous artist John Constable.
What you’ll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, including programming and events.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with an enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
