Summary
As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £10.78 per hour
Contract duration: 12-month fixed-term contract until 31-Jan-2025
Hours: This is an annualised contract of 1560 working hours per year, which averages out to approximately 30 hours per week, or roughly 4 shifts. The number of hours works each week may vary according to the needs of the business. However, the salary is paid in 12 equal monthly instalments regardless of the hours worked.
Please note, a full driving license is required for this role.
What it’s like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager you’ll be part of a team of 6 Welcome Assistants working at Anglesey Abbey. You’ll be vital in ensuring our visitors have a great day out by providing a brilliant welcome and goodbye. You’ll be providing excellent customer service to visitors and help to grow support for Anglesey Abbey and the National Trust by inspiring new members to join the Trust. There will be opportunities to develop your fundraising skills by taking part in our Growing Support training programme. Every day is different.
Anglesey Abbey is one of the National Trust’s treasure houses, with a garden that attracts thousands of visitors to see its changing floral displays, year-round.
What you’ll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can and feel welcome and valued. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion – no two days are the same.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service.
