Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic Workshop Support Operative/Driver for our busy workshop at our Cullompton Depot. You will be responsible for ensuring the workshop runs smoothly by being proactive and organised.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organise workshop parking to ensure safe operational areas.
• Collect and deliver offsite service vehicles from other destinations, as and when required.
• Carry out minor defect repairs and component replacements.
• Take control of loaded brake tests requirements which will include vehicle trailer collections, facilitate loading vehicles and complete brake tests, once trained.
• Provide support and assist the Fleet Workshop office staff to meet and surpass all agreed targets
• Ensure that best practice is always employed in relation to component replacement; repair duration; document completion.
• Booking out time for each job that is carried out and the relevant paperwork given to the Workshop Controllers.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workplace environment.
• Due to the nature of the role, Health and Safety and Safe Systems of work are paramount. You must ensure that you are following the company’s health and safety policy at all times.

Required Experience:

• Must hold a Class 1 CE license.
• Must have a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Previous hands-on experience including defect rectification, working with vehicles on a daily basis and knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is advantageous, but not essential.
• Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
