Salary: MPS 1-6

Contract: Full-time, long-term – Starting from Feburary 2024

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Class Teacher to join our vibrant and welcoming primary school located in the heart of Tower Hamlets. As an integral part of our committed teaching team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for our students during this crucial stage of their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 6 students, fostering a love for learning and academic excellence.

  2. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the school curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and a focus on holistic student development.

  3. Assessment and Feedback: Implement effective assessment strategies to track and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning journey.

  4. Parental Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in school events.

  5. Pastoral Care: Contribute to the pastoral care of students, creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures personal and social development.

  6. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, participating in team meetings, and contributing to the overall ethos of the school.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities at this key stage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
